I propose to have an excursion, most likely on Wednesday, but
the weather conditions will decide.
I would suggest the following choices
- The most spectacular: Aiguille du midi
This is a pic at above 3,800 m with a gorgeous view on the Mont-Blanc and its surrounding.
A cable car take you up there from Chamonix for 42.5 EUR
If the wheather is good, I recommend to take from up-there the Aerial Tramway to cross the Vallée Blanche to Pointe Helbronner and back, for an extra cost of 24 EUR.
This may require booking in advance. - Another spectacular trip: The train to montenvers.
May not be open in May. It takes you from Chamonix to the bottom of the mer de glace for 25 EUR.
There is a very nice view from there. You can also hike the glacier! - Hickers may prefer this view of the Mont-blanc. It is taken from the Lac Blanc (2 352 m). From 1 to 3 hours of hike, depending on whether you accept to take a cable car or not.
- Many other great hikes! Just ask for it.
